NODAL RETURN?

A nodal return is when the transiting North Node and South Node are in the same signs as your natal placements. Nodes exist in opposition to each other and teach us about polarity of experience in life - especially during the potent time of eclipses - activating some energies while releasing others.

For example, if you were born with the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio you are experiencing a nodal return when the north node is back in Taurus and south node is back in Scorpio again, which happens every 18.5 years.

WHAT DOES THE NODAL RETURN MEAN FOR ME IN ASTROLOGY?

The nodal return is a realignment with what the agenda of this life. Since the eclipses occur in the signs of the transiting nodes, it’s hard to deviate from what’s expected of us. The North Node holds the remedy to whatever struggle is being felt. The South Node pulls the struggle to the surface in order to be cleared.

It can be hard to see past the South Node even if it’s dysfunctional or unhealthy especially because the South Node is part of your known experience. THE 2022 TAURUS / SCORPIO NODAL RETURN

The Nodes entered the signs of Taurus and Scorpio in January 2022 and will remain in these signs through July 2023. This means that the eclipses will occur in the signs of Taurus and Scorpio.

The North Node is called the head of the dragon because of its capacity to consume everything in the sign it occupies and with the North Node in Taurus there’s a push towards getting grounded, taking care of self, simplifying, eating nourishing food, stabilizing, getting clear on where money, time and resources are being spent, settings good boundaries and sticking through.

The South node is the tail of the dragon expelling, venting and refining all that is in the sign it occupies and with the South Node in Scorpio the South Node releases toxic feelings, thoughts, controlling relationships, paying debts (both financial and karmic) resisting the urge to complicate things, make more out of situations than necessary, and hold secret vengeances and other uncomfortable and intense Scorpio topics.
